The Eagles registered a thrilling 29-26 win over Gujarat Fortunegiants to end the home team's unbeaten run at home.

With one minute left in the game, both teams were tied at 26-all. Young Naveen Kumar successfully scored an important bonus point in Dabang Delhi's last raid of the match leaving Gujarat no choice but to score a touch point in the final raid with just 3 men on the mat for The Eagles.

Teamwork above everything
Such was the story of the entire game and our defense once again stood up to the occasion and didn't give Sachin any window to bring the score to 27-all. The super tackle went in the name of Naveen Kumar but it was two of our strong defensive pillars Joginder Narwal and Ravinder Pahal who stood up and won the match with a Super Tackle.

Naveen Kumar’s bonus point
It wasn't one of the best night for Naveen as far as raiding was concerned. The 18-year-old finished with only three raid points. But, he proved his mettle once again and delivered the all-important last minute bonus point and kept our noses ahead in the game before the final raid of the match.

The Magician once again at his best
The Iranian Dabang came back to the squad after missing the game against Patna Pirates. And boy, what a way to make that comeback. He made his presence felt throughout the game and was rightly awarded with both Perfect Raider of the Match and Moment of the match award. His 5-point raid was a key moment in the game that inflicted an all-out on Gujarat Fortunegiants.

Pahal - The best defender for The Eagles
'The Hawk' wasn't at his best against Patna. But, the Kabaddi world knows how big a player he is. He bagged four tackle points in five attempts and was stronger than ever.

With this brilliant performance, the Eagles move onto 33 points after 5 wins in 11 matches. 3rd placed Puneri Paltan are on 39 points having played 4 additional games than the Dabangs. Our team will go to Pune and play two huge matches over the weekend against U Mumba and Haryana Steelers in a bid to make it to the PKL 5 play-offs.
