Dabang Delhi K.C. registered a thumping win in their first home leg match of Vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 6 by defeating Jaipur Pink Panthers 48-35.
On the back of two defeats in a row in Pune, it was a rejuvenated Joginder Narwal led side that took on Anup Kumar's Panthers.
Right from the word go the Eagles displayed some aggressive Kabaddi and inflicted three all-outs on the visitors in just the first 22 minutes of the game. The Iranian Superman Meraj Sheykh kept our noses ahead and scored the first three points of the match. The Iranian ended the match with 15 points, his personal best in PKL history.
He was well accompanied by Chandran Ranjit and Naveen Kumar as both the raiders ended the match with 9 points each to their kitty.
Dabang Delhi's defence always bank on how 'The Hawk' does at the right corner. The experience of Ravinder Pahal was once again too hot to handle for Jaipur's raiders as he finished the match with another High 5 of the season, his second in a row.
The only bright shine for Jaipur was Deepak Niwas Hooda, who finished the match with mammoth 20 points to his name and was rightly awarded the perfect raider of the match. The game changer, Meraj Sheykh was given the moment of the match award, for his Super Raid, which was one of many moments that were the highlight of the Iranian and the team Dabang Delhi. Ravinder Pahal won Defender of the Match Award for his High 5.
The Eagles have got a dream start to their home leg and will now look forward to keep the same pace as they face U Mumba tomorrow. It will be a fresh start and a new opponent on a different day. All that is required from our Dabangs is to keep pushing hard and give it back to U Mumba.
