New Look Dabang Delhi pumped up for ProKabaddi Season VI

Joginder Narwal led Team Dabang Delhi will look to create an impact as we play our first match of the Vivo Pro Kabaddi Season VI against Gujarat Fortunegiants tonight.

Under Chief Coach Krishan Kumar Hooda, our players started their pre-season fitness camp in Dehradun on August 6. This was followed by a training camp that took place in Munjal University, Haryana.

Despite not much of luck in the past five seasons, The Eagles have all the arsenal to create upsets, and thus will be the team to watch out for with a mix of youth and experience at their disposal.

Strong Defence

Ravinder Pahal had the second highest number of successful tackles, super tackles, and high 5s in Pro Kabaddi Season 2 with Dabang Delhi. Reunited with his old team, he will look to change the fortune for The Eagles. He’s an experienced pro and one aggressive defender that can cause concerns to the opposition at any point of time.

The Captain Joginder Narwal is in perfect shape and will look to dismantle all the opposite raider’s move along with our retained defenders from last year Satpal Narwal, Tushar Bhoir and Viraj Landge. Vishal Mane in the right cover adds extra muscle to the defence.

Action-packed raiding options

While all eyes will once again be on our star player Meraj Sheykh ‘The Magician’, this season our boys have more attacking options along with the Iranian all-rounder. Rajesh Narwal carries tons of experience from the past five seasons. In 76 matches that he has played, the seasoned pro earned 377 points and is ever reliable in the defence too.

Chandran Ranjit was not a known face back in the first season, but emerged up the ranks in season 5 for Gujarat Fortunegiants. He rescued Fortunegiants’ ship on more than one occasion. Shabeer Bappu with our NYP player Naveen Kumar and last years’ Jaipur Pink Panther raider Pawan Kumar Kadian makes our attacking option more lethal.

Our record against Gujarat Fortunegiants hasn’t been up to the mark. We’ve lost all three matches we’ve played against them. It’s a new season and our boys are ready for a fresh challenge ahead of the ProKabaddi Season VI, starting from the first leg in Chennai.
