India’s biggest Indoor Private-School Kabaddi Championship started today in Summer Valley School, Dehradun. The tournament is first of its kind and is competed between 27 schools and 324 young Kabaddi players from Dehradun.
Pro Kabaddi league team, Dabang Delhi Kabaddi Club are the architects of this tournament which aims to introduce Kabaddi at the grassroot level. The passion and the dedication shown by the franchise towards the future of Indian Kabaddi gained more strength with every raid, tackle, and the overall energy each player was putting in during the course of play in Day 1.
The indoor venue was packed with the support from all over the city for participating schools. The matches were being telecast live on Dabang Delhi Kabaddi Club’s Facebook page, giving the viewers an opportunity to be a part of the action.
DBDKC’s star player, Rajesh Narwal was given the responsibility of voicing the event. His expert advice from the commentary box that was preceded by a meet and greet event. CEO, Saumya Khaitan along with the likes of Ravinder Pahal, Vishal Mane, Joginder Narwal, Shabeer Bappu, Chief Coach - Krishan Kumar Hooda and Assistant Coach, Rambir Singh among others were welcomed by school kids present at the venue.
