Fans at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium, Chennai witnessed an epic encounter which had all the drama that a kabaddi match should have in it. We saw dominance from our counterpart but at the same time, there were many instances where we tried to level things up by battling hard. Though the match didn't start on a promising note for us as Gujarat Fortunegiants took an early lead. Local boy, R. Sriram (6 points) had a good day on the mat as he kept picking up points by throwing himself in the opposition half. The Giants inflicted an all-out on us right before the half-time. We were trailing 9-27 till the halfway stage.

Post break Abolfazl (7 points) did some damage as he was all fired up after picking up his100th PKL Raid points. He lacked support from his fellow countryman Meraj, who had an off day. Substitutes like Rohit Baliyan (2 points), Tapas Pal (2 points) and Tushar Bhoir (1 point) grabbed some quick points to reduce the lead. The major setback for us was our defence as the in-form defenders Satpal (1 point) and Vishal (1 point) failed to replicate their brilliant form in yesterday's game. The Giants inflicted two more all-outs on us post interval. From that position, we couldn't recover and in the end, we lost the match by 22-42.

We are now heading to the pink city, Jaipur. There we will face the home team Jaipur Pink Panthers and Bengaluru Bulls.
