Eagles outclassed U Mumba in their own fortress

U Mumba got off to a good start, but soon they faded to capitalize on the momentum. We made a good comeback to get things back on track by bundling out the hosts. Till the half-way stage both teams were neck and neck on 17-17. Post break, there was a different spark in us as we looked hungry for the victory. The backbone of the Eagles, Meraj (11 points) and Abolfazl (9 points) yet again bailed the team out from the crunch situation by making U Mumba defence look like mere spectators. Then came the second all-out, courtesy Meraj and Abolfazl. The local boy, Bajirao Hodage (4 points) also found his lost touch back in 50th Vivo Pro Kabaddi game. In the end, it was a good team effort by us, where everyone contributed their share in the team's victory.

Talking about landmarks, the marvellous, Meraj completed his 400 raids, followed by 200 total points in Vivo Pro Kabaddi and he secured the first Super 10 for us this season. Abolfazl also added another feather to his hat by surpassing 50 Raid points. Overall we toiled with the U Mumba players. Anup Kumar (11 points) lacked support from his teammates as this cost them the match. We are back on winning ways as we outclassed U Mumba 33-32 in their own fortress. This win has lifted the morale of the team drastically.

Positives from the game: For starters, the biggest positive is a win. Moving on to the Iranian duo, who continue their fine run this season. For main course, Bajirao Hodage, whose body language was good as he looked phenomenal on the mat. We face Bengaluru Bulls next in the city of joy, Kolkata.
