The city of Nawabs, Lucknow wasn't lucky for The Eagles as we suffered a close defeat against Haryana Steelers at the Babu Banarasi Das Indoor Stadium.

We started the clash on a high note, courtesy Nilesh Shinde's classy tackle but post that, we kept on gifting easy points. At the half way stage we were trailing by 17-9. But after the break some magic happened and soon the tables were turned. We recovered, when it mattered the most, soon we were back in the contest. Players like Abolfazl Maghsodlou (8 points), Nilesh Shinde (5 points) and the crisis man, Meraj Sheykh (6 points) gave everything on the mat. Talking about milestones, we completed our 150th point in this season. Even, Meraj Sheykh crossed 150 raid points in Vivo Pro Kabaddi, while his fellow country man Abolfazl surpassed his 50 career points. Deepak Kumar Dahiya (7 points) and Surjeet Singh (5 points) made the difference as they starred for the Steelers and eventually they won this nail-biting encounter by 27-25.

Positives from the game: The biggest positive from the game was our defence, which came into the party time and again. Besides few silly errors rest everything went as per the plan. We will surely regroup and comeback strong. We face U Mumba on 27th now.
