With 4 new teams this season, Vivo Pro Kabaddi League has become India’s largest sporting league. Season 5 will begin on 28th July 2017 as teams prepare themselves for the epic battle. With all new squads, the teams will have fresh structures and strategies up their sleeves. We bought 19 new players with Meraj Sheykh, already retained, and are ready with a squad showcasing our #DilSeDabang philosophy. Let’s take a closer look at each of the three different aspects :

The All-Rounders

Meraj Sheykh, the most impactful player from last season remains the linchpin of this team. Meraj performed extremely well last season and is one of the best all-rounders. Having represented Telugu Titans earlier, Rupesh Tomar’s experience can be vital for us. Apart from these two, other all-rounders like Vishal, Yatharth and Chethan S haven’t had PKL experience yet but are exceptional in what they do.

The Raiders

Ravi Dalal shot to fame with a fabulous PKL Season 1 where he bagged 111 raid points with Patna Pirates. The athletic raider hasn’t lost his pace yet and has other raiders like Suresu Kumar and Rohit Baliyan with him. Young raiders like Anand Patil, Vipin Malik and Shubham Palkar have given a fresh breath of air to the squad. Along with the Indian players, we have some international presence in raiding as well. Abolfazel Maghsodlo, the Iranian and also a former player of Patna Pirates, is a vital cog of this raiding attack.

The Defenders

With stalwarts like Nilesh Shinde and Bajirao Hodage already in the team, our defence looks one of the strongest in the tournament. Meraj is there to help in the defence as well, and the trio, with their experience, can prove to be the most important aspect for this season. Having played in PKL before, Swapnil Shinde and Sunil Kumar add solidity with Tushar Bhoir, Satpal, Tapas Pal and Viraj Landge also in the fray.

With an array of talent in the squad, The Eagles are most certainly ready to reach new heights in the Season V of Vivo Pro Kabaddi League.
