The Eagles snatched a tie from the jaws of defeat

The match started on a defence note, both the teams looked to get their eye in. Abolfazl opened the account for us as we continued from where we had left in the previous encounter. But soon the Warriors shifted the gears as they took a handsome lead. Then we fought our way back to level it out 12-12 as we approached the half-time. Post the break, we looked hungry as the hunt for the hat-trick continued in us. Rohit Baliyan (7 points) was sharp in his raids. Along with him, Meraj Sheykh (5 points) joined the party and soon the tables were turned as he inflicted yet another all-out. But we still required something more than this as we continued to trail. Then came in Anand Patil (9 points), who exactly did what the doctor ordered. His Super-raid drifted the momentum back to us. On the other hand, Sunil Kumar's (3 points) brilliant tackles in the dying stages were like gold dust for us. The match was getting very interesting by each passing minute. Everything happened so quickly but we showed great composure under pressure.

Talking about landmarks, we completed our 250 Total points in Pro Kabaddi season 5. Meraj Sheykh displayed his magic yet again as he notched up 50 Successful Raids in this season. We also accomplished one major milestone by having 10 all-outs to our name in season 5. The home side kept on attacking but we gave them back as we snatched a tie from the jaws of defeat. The nail-biting clash ended on 31-31.

Positives from the game: The never give up attitude of our players was one of the biggest gain for us. Anand Patil and Rohit Baliyan's contribution was the most pleasing thing that happened. Last but not the least, we are still unbeaten in our last three games. Which is surely the most positive takeaway.

The Kolkata leg is over and we are glad that the boys finished it on a high note. Our next challenge is to conquer Haryana Steelers at Sonepat.
